Hello,

a bit about me:

Hi! My name is Christina and I am a proud educator.

I grew up in a military family and was given the opportunity to travel around the world. I graduated from Brussels' American School (Department of Defense Education Activity) (cum laude) and studied Informatics and Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University. At the time I decided that I was more interested in working with children so I switched my major to Early Childhood Education (cum laude). My Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technology for Education was also achieved from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Technological Education Institute of Piraeus. In addition, I have received psycho educational training during the Intensive Professional Qualification Program "Educational & Psychological Measurements in Special Education" from the Institute of Innovation and Creativity of ACS Athens and the George Washington University.

I have worked as a nursery teacher aide in private schools and as an ESL teacher in foreign language schools while studying to get my academic degree. I have also worked with children of different ages (K-8) in public schools, helping them to build skills and independence, develop character and achieve positive outcomes. Additionally, I have volunteered in municipalities of Greece providing teachers with lesson plans to introduce young children to Robotics and other STEM education, as I am a member of the Greek Union of Scientific Information and Communication Technologies in Education.

While at ACS Athens, I have worked on a Co-Teaching model in Science 7 ESL and as a Science teacher (a “Mad Scientist”) in ACS Athens Summer Youth Camp and I have been a part of the Optimal Learning Program Department, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Learning Center, where I have been given the opportunity to experience the school’s philosophy on education and the value of the student as an individual learner and an architect of his own learning. I have also served as a 1st grade homeroom teacher and an IB Computer  Science (HL) and Media Studies at Middle and High School.

After leaving the american educational philosophy, I went on to discover the British National Curriculum, by working at St.Catherine's British School (Athens, GR), as a SEN teacher.

I am currently a Kindergarten Teacher (bilingual program) at Costeas Gitonas School and a Robotics Teacher at Robotakia Center of Robotics.
